Questioning as a child led me to seek the source through learning about indigenous cultures. 

​

In1999 I became a journalist writing about African and indigenous culture and became an important voice in the discussion around repatriation and restitution of indigenous human remains and artefacts.

​

Studying African history led me to seek deeper spiritually within myself. 

​

I had always been practicing movement of my body since a teenager, and in 2014 I became certified in Afrikan (Smai Taui) Yoga. 

In 2016, I initiated into the Kemetic Culture - following 2 years of training in healing, spirituality, language, movement, meditation.

​

​

My yoga teaching has evolved from simply focusing on the movement and cultural truth of the discipline to a deeper practise focusing on self-awareness and healing.

​

In 2022 I began training with a healer in energetics and the spirituality and philosophy of yoga which has allowed my own healing and also transformed the offering I now give my clients.

​
